Parks in Rio Rancho, New Mexico
Not only does Rio Rancho have multiple neighborhood playgrounds, they have a large community gathering field, a massive sport’s complex, and an all-inclusive park designed for children with disabilities to play in a safe environment.
A PARK ABOVE
A Park Above is the first fully-inclusive and accessible playground in New Mexico. A Park Above a place where all children can come together, interact, be included and grow, through the gift of play.
A Park Above was constructed to universal design standards to be more “usable” for everyone. The goal of the park design is to create an inclusive and safe play environment for all children, even those with mental or physical disabilities.

Haynes Park is one of the largest parks in the Rio Rancho. It includes multiple gathering fields, a community center, a playground, and a seasonal pool.
Los Diamantes sits one mile west of Rust Presbyterian Medical center which sits along Unser Blvd. The business park was created on a site of 170 total acres which consists of over 500 homes which are now selling quickly and are offered by Pulte, DR Horton, and Hakes Brothers. Adjacent to the site is the brand new Joe Harris Elementary School with a new proposed Rio Rancho High School on a 100 acre site just west of the project
